San Diego Made was founded in 2014 by local artists, craftsmen and makers Brittany Kaszas, Brook Dailey, Sarah Lowry and Kristin Dinnis as an off-shoot of the UNION artists studios Marketing and Events team.
Inspired by artists collectives in other large cities like New York and Los Angeles, the team saw a need for a united collation of local artists and craftsman San Diego…San Diego Made was founded to fit that need.
The team stay active in the local arts community through involvement in a number of local events and organizations, like the Barrio Arts Association and the Barrio Arts District.
San Diego Made is an artist collective organization that aims to increase awareness of the local arts within the San Diego community and promote the Shop Local. Buy Local. philosophy to the greater public.
Our artists and craftsman become members to increase the exposure of their work, promote their small businesses, and work together toward the common goal of reaching more people through their art.
We do this through promoting our website, hosting art walks, craft events and open studio nights, and sharing news on local artists and art happenings through our social media pages and PR outreach. Check out my profile on San Diego Made and their page for upcoming events!
